Lanarkshire Festival of Male Voice Choirs - 2015
in General March 31, 2015
Welcome to the 63rd Annual Lanarkshire Festival of Male Voice Choirs.
We had a disappointment at the start of the year when the choir we invited to be our guest choir and who had accepted our invitation almost two years ago, contacted us to say they would be unable to cope with learning all the required music and would prefer to withdraw.
Then racing to our assistance came The Aeolian Male Voice Choir from Kilmarnock who enjoyed themselves so much last year that they offered to "help us out". We are delighted to see & hear them again. George Barr - Festival Chairman

Hamilton Townhouse is a wonderful venue for this event and a lot of work is put in by the organising committee. The evening was compered by Douglas Muir who told some amusing stories while the individual choirs assembled ready to perform.
Choirs performing on the evening were:

After the individual choir performances the combined choirs sang seven pieces conducted by Mr William Barr & Mr Alan Donald.
The Aeolian Choir's individual pieces were "American Trilogy" & "The Awakening" These pieces were well received by the enthusiastic audience assembled in the Townhouse.
The evening was brought to a close by the Choirs & Audience performing Charles Wesley's " And Can It Be"
